Recommendations

“Thank you for Chicago a cappella’s wonderful performance at the Wisconsin Choral Directors Convention. As you saw from their enthusiastic response, you were certainly a hit! Your imaginative program, “Baroque and the Beatles,” was an inspired choice. What a treat for all of us to hear great literature of the Baroque period performed with such clarity and virtuosity! What a pleasure to hear sophisticated, witty, and expressive arrangements of iconic popular music! You showed us why Chicago a cappella is a premier vocal ensemble, as you masterfully performed very difficult literature with great aplomb.”

Rodger Trader, 2008 Convention Chair
Wisconsin Choral Directors Association

“Your programming was brilliant. You have a most appealing palette of colors in your collection of voices, and it was fascinating to hear the variations in sound as different voices took the foreground. It was a privilege and a pleasure to host you.”

Dr. John Jost, Professor of Music
Bradley University

“With beauty and vitality, Chicago a cappella enriched our audience with a full and varied program, opening the 2005-06 Cedarhurst Chamber Music series. Their nine voices created a superb blend that was even more enhanced in the gallery space.”

Kathy Sees, Chair
Cedarhurst Chamber Music, Mt. Vernon, IL

“I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed Chicago a cappella. You were highly professional, warm, and totally entertaining. The audience, young and old, loved the entire “Baroque and Beatles” program.”

“I would highly recommend Chicago a cappella as a performing ensemble of the highest calibre. They will make any audience, professional or amateur, classically trained or self-taught, leave wanting more. My audience of over one hundred diverse musicians gave them a standing ovation and rhythmic applause, demanding three encores. I guarantee a pleased audience.”
